How do I report an issue?

How quickly can an engineer attend?
We operate a 24-hour response target for emergency situations wherever reasonably possible.
Attendance times may vary depending on location, weather conditions, engineer availability and the nature of the issue.
Are call-out charges included?
Covered call-outs are included within the scope of the plan.
However, additional charges may apply where replacement parts, specialist equipment or repair works are required.
Are repairs included?
The cover plan provides assistance and engineer attendance.
If replacement parts, specialist repairs or additional labour are required, these may be chargeable and will be discussed before any work is carried out.
Are boiler repairs included?
Engineer attendance for heating-related issues may be included under the plan.
However, boiler repairs, replacement parts and major boiler work may incur additional charges.
Are electrical repairs included?
Electrical fault diagnosis and attendance may be included.
Replacement electrical components, consumer units, rewiring or major repair works may be subject to additional charges.
Are drainage blockages covered?
Internal drainage blockages such as blocked toilets, sinks and waste pipes may be covered.
Is underground drainage covered?
No.
Underground drainage pipework leading to the main public sewer, including jetting, excavation, repairs and replacement works, is not included and may incur additional charges.
Can I use my own contractor?
The plan is intended to operate through engineers and contractors arranged by Home Care Utilities Ltd.
Please contact us before arranging any third-party work.
Is there a limit to how many times I can call?
Customers may contact us whenever a covered issue arises during the active cover period.
Repeated call-outs for the same unresolved issue or misuse of the service may be subject to review.
When does my cover start?
Your cover begins on the agreed start date once your membership has been activated.
How long does the cover last?
The Home Maintenance Cover Plan provides 12 months of cover from the start date.
Does the plan automatically renew?
No.
Your cover does not automatically renew.
We will contact you before your cover expires to discuss renewal options.
